WELCOME

Our church is a caring community worshiping as an Anglican parish in the Diocese of Toronto. We have two churches with the primary, Church of the Evangelists, located in the centre of Tottenham while the second church, St. John's, is located in the rural countryside of New Tecumseth east of Tottenham. Our regular services are held in Tottenham, while St. John's is used primarily as a chapel and for monthly summer services.

Our congregation, although small by some standards, is active through worship, group activities and outreach to the local community. The church has been a part of the local community since the 1800's and has over the past few years incorporated the previous Anglican parishes of Beeton, Palgrave, Bond Head and New Tecumseth (St. John's). Our members come from homes across the township and  the surrounding areas.  They represent many different backgrounds and lifestyles - but with a common goal to share an uplifting religious experience as a church family.

We use our church hall that is attached to the church building to augment our worship and to provide a home for many of our outreach programs (click here to understand more about our outreach efforts). We also ensure that we have a balanced program for our families not focused solely on worship but also including many fun social activities such as our murder mystery dinner, Dickens reading, etc. (click here for a current list).  Our hall is also available to the community for functions.  Click here to find out more.

As part of our church work, we operate St. John's Cemetery which is situated on a hill in the countryside providing a beautiful, peaceful setting where loved ones who have passed on can be laid to rest. Go to St. John's Church & Cemetery to learn more about our cemetery.

Please join us on Sunday.

Regular Services

Every Sunday at 10am with the service of Holy Communion. Current Events lists any special upcoming services at Church of the Evangelists and St. John's.

The service normally includes a choir and both digital piano and guitar accompaniment. Click here for more on our Music Ministry.

Sunday School (except during the summer) is held at the same time with the children taking part in the first part of the church service before going to class. For parents with young children, relax, God put the wiggle in children and don't feel it has to be suppressed in God's house. Click here for some suggestions for helping children get the most from church.

There is always a fellowship hour afterwards with refreshments in the hall.

Reverend Naomi Miller leads our worship and all of our activities on a full time basis.  We all welcome visitors and regular parishioners to our services each Sunday.

Rev Naomi is also available in the church office Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings for Morning Prayer.
