About Us

We are an Anglican parish in the Diocese of Toronto. We have two church buildings the primary being Church of the Evangelists, located in the centre of Tottenham at 99 Queen St. North.  Our St. John’s Chapel is located in the rural countryside of New Tecumseth east of Tottenham.

Our Sunday School program is active during the school year. Children are welcome in worship during the summer months.

Our congregation, although small, is active through worship, group activities and outreach to the local community. The church has been a part of the local community since the 1800’s and has over the past few years amalgamated with the previous Anglican parishes in Beeton, Palgrave, Bond Head and New Tecumseth (St. John’s). Our members come from across the township and the surrounding areas. They represent many different backgrounds and lifestyles – but with a common goal to share an uplifting religious experience as a church family.

Harmony Hall was built on to the Church of the Evangelists in 1985. It is used for community meals, Sunday School, social activities, and fundraisers. Harmony Hall is available to rent for community functions. Contact Phil Apperly at (905) 936 2855. The hall is fully wheelchair accessible.

The Parish also owns and operate St. John’s Cemetery which is situated on a hill in the countryside providing a beautiful, peaceful setting where loved ones who have passed on can be laid to rest. Go to St. John’s Church & Cemetery to learn more.
